Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Greyfeathers (OPC) Private Limited collects when you use Kili, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and profile picture from Google sign-in.
- Your answers: the optional welcome questions (how much Tamil you know, why you're here, what you listen to).
- How you use Kili: which songs you play and for how long, which words you tap, star or mark as learned.
- What you send us: feedback, and the songs you request or vote for.
- Your choices: that you agreed to the terms, and whether you asked for emails about new songs.
Usage and cookies
We count anonymous page views and product events (for example “a word was tapped”) with our own Umami analytics, which sets no advertising cookies. YouTube videos are played by YouTube inside Kili, and YouTube may set its own cookies when one plays; Google's privacy policy covers that.
How we use it
To run Kili: sign you in, play songs, keep your words, and understand which songs people enjoy so we add better ones. Song lyrics (and nothing about you) are sent to an AI model provider when we prepare a song's meanings. We email you about new songs only if you ticked the box asking for it, and every one has an unsubscribe link. We do not train AI models on your data.
Who can see it
Greyfeathers staff, to run and improve the service. Song requests appear to other users without your name. Our providers process data on our behalf: Google Cloud (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (database), Cloudflare R2 (audio files), Vercel (website), Resend (email), and Anthropic (writing word meanings, lyrics only).
Where and how long
Data is stored with the providers above and kept while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, apart from what the law requires us to keep.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, your account data is served only to you, and access is checked on every request. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at support@greyfeathers.io if you find a problem.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by writing to support@greyfeathers.io.
Changes
We will update this page when this policy changes, and change the date at the top.
